Two new weekly segments: Weekly Anchor and Timely Track

For quite a while now I have been meaning to incorporate a new set of elements in this blog. They are born out of a desire to add frequency and consistency to my posts.

Starting with this post, I will be writing and publishing my thoughts twice a week; once between Wednesday and Thursday, and again between Sunday and Monday.

By establishing and following a schedule, I feel I'll be more proactive, reflective, and creative with my writing, and thus continue to grow and improve the quality of my posts and blog.

I have decided to call these new elements "Timely Track" and "Weekly Anchor". With "Timely Track" I will share observations about key things I've come across in the world of running, through either my own training and racing, evaluation of running gear and products, or through books, podcasts, running community, etc. In addition, this new segment will serve as a mid-week checkpoint of progress towards my training and racing goals.

"Weekly Anchor" will function as a review of my successes and failures for the prior week, as well as adjustments, plans, and outlook for the week that follows, primarily as they relate to:

- Training for and participating in various races

- Impressions and reviews of running/fitness gear

- Coaching activities and development

In closing, I would like to give credit to my fellow educator, BibRave Pro, and blogger Zenaida Arroyo, who is a consistent writer week in and week out through her posts Random Thoughts Thursday and Tuesday Topics. She has been great inspiration and I am following her steps with these new elements that I am adding to my own corner of cyberspace. Thanks Zenaida, keep up the great work!
